This paper presents a clinical case in which an » unpleasant encounter » in reality, i.e. the announcement of bearing the HIV virus has entailed an immediate regression of the subject in time towards that very moment of his adolescence in which some kind of psychological rehandling had been stopped. It discusses the regression towards the infantile that took place, leading to a re-negociation in the deferred action of the Oedipian conflict that had suddenly been stopped and fixed on the occasion of the death of the father when the subject was 15. It suggests the hypothesis according to which this may have taken place again in a progredient rehandling in which his own confrontation to the death to come at last offered the subject the opprtunity, that had remained uncertain up to then, to identify himself to the father through death and thus regain some kind of filial relationship in a rehabilitation of its function. To leave behind a grandiose father, outside the possibilities of any form of identification, in order to erect an Oedipian father liable to be an ideal and also to be structuring, seems to have been one of the outcome of seropositivity.
The techno movement represents a « counter-cultural » musical trend around which youths gather when setting up « re-creative » festive spaces. This article proposes to demonstrate the paradoxical character of the rave party phenomenon which, though it runs the risk of chronicizing borderline-case experiences, seems sometimes to open the way for a process of subjectivation, through the regression incited by group bonding and the rituals that organize it (musical tradition, drug use, integration of specific codes.)
The paternal law founded on the prohibition is giving way to a maternal presence based rather on confidence which fosters hedonism. Contemporary adolescence is a world marked by the mother, by the absence of limits, regression. The fear of losing face, of feeling shame or responsibility for one’s behaviour is no longer at the top of the agenda. On the contrary, the adepts of Jackass and happy slapping are perfect illustrations of contemporary individualism and indifference to the other person. Their ego has no other people to whom it could be held accountable.
This article shows how the Freudian reduction of mysticism to a regression to primary narcissism can be placed in perspective and extended through a consideration of the sublimatory dynamic animating certain great mystical figures, and the amorous interpersonal dimension of their life of faith. It shows Freud’s understanding of mysticism, in its difference from religion, and considers contributions by other authors such as C. Parat, S. de Mijolla-Mellor, and A. Vergote.
This paper discusses the clinical material presented by Kari Hauge along certain lines of reflection mainly concerned with issues of trauma, regression, and transference. The trauma to which I refer seems to be related to the patient’s whole life and to her inability to make use of an experience of continuity and stability of being. The issue is discussed from the point of view of the repetition of trauma in adolescence and its manifestations in the analytic situation.
Le mouvement techno représente un courant musical « contre-culture » autour duquel la jeunesse se rassemble en mettant en place des espaces festifs « ré-créatifs ». Cet article se propose de montrer le caractère paradoxal du phénomène de la rave party qui, outre le risque de chronicisation de vécus cas-limites qu’il comporte, semble ouvrir parfois à un processus de subjectivation, à travers la régression que suscitent le lien groupal et les rituels qui l’organisent (tradition musicale, usage de drogues et intégration de codes spécifiques).

L’article présente un cas clinique dans lequel une » mauvaise rencontre » dans le réel : l’annonce de la séropositivité, a directement fait régresser le sujet de façon temporelle à ce moment de son adolescence où un mouvement de remaniement psychique avait été stoppé. Il discute la régression vers l’infantile qui s’est faite jour, entraînant la renégociation dans l’après-coup du conflit œdipien qui s’était brusquement figé à la mort du père quand ce sujet avait quinze ans. Il propose l’hypothèse que ceci a pu se rejouer dans un remaniement progrédient où sa propre confrontation à la mort à venir a enfin fourni au sujet l’opportunité qui était demeurée incertaine jusque-là de s’identifier au père à travers la mort, et de renouer une relation filiale, dans une réhabilitation de sa fonction. Quitter un père prégénital grandiose et hors identification, pour construire un père œdipien, idéalisable et structurant, semble avoir été la rançon possible de sa séropositivité.
Cet article montre comment la réduction freudienne de la mystique à une régression au narcissisme primaire peut être relativisée et prolongée par la prise en compte de la dynamique sublimatoire animant certaines grandes figures mystiques, et de la dimension amoureuse interpersonnelle de leur vie de foi. Il expose la compréhension de la mystique par Freud, dans sa différence avec la religion, et prend en compte l’apport d’auteurs contemporains comme C. Parat, S. de Mijolla-Mellor ou A. Vergote.
Cet article parle du matériel clinique présenté par Kari Hauge dans la lignée de réflexion sur les enjeux du traumatisme, de la régression et du transfert. Le traumatisme, dans ce cas, semble être lié à l’ensemble de la vie de la patiente et en particulier à son incapacité à déployer un vécu de continuité et de stabilité d’être. Cette problématique est explorée du point de vue de la répétition du traumatisme à l’adolescence et de ses manifestations dans la situation analytique.
