A teenager followed in a day hospital presents transitory behavior that causes an « hysterization » of the counter-transference in certain women who deal with him. This behavior is linked with the sexual traumatic problems present in his family. It allows him to remobilize drive activity experienced as threatening for his psychical integrity, and to interiorize the female components of this drive activity.

Gérard Bonnet : the distant echo of the pubertaire big-bang as an analysis approaches its end
Agnès, who is in her fifties, is thinking about ending her analysis, but would like to understand why deep inside she still has the contradictory impression of being a victim, all the while feeling terribly guilty. Then she has a dream wherein she replays the way she experienced her puberty. The analysis of this dream, and of another, focused on separation, leads her perceive that she had a bad experience of this crucial moment because of her excessive attachment to her mother and because she shut herself up inside her contradictions.
Gérard Bonnet : for the love of sex
One cannot love others if one does not first love oneself, which the psychoanalyst translates in another way when he reminds us that narcissism is an indispensable preliminary to any relationship. The same thing could be said of the sex, properly speaking. The human subject cannot love the other’s sex, and thus face up to the difference that it represents at every level of existence, if he or she does not first love and invest his or her own sex, as a genital, drive and ideal object. This presupposes that he or she is provoked and recognized by the adult, and keeps the possibility of regularly getting free of this control in order to assert him- or herself according to his or her own desire.
Paola Marion : discussion 2
This paper discusses the clinical material presented by Kari Hauge along certain lines of reflection mainly concerned with issues of trauma, regression, and transference. The trauma to which I refer seems to be related to the patient’s whole life and to her inability to make use of an experience of continuity and stability of being. The issue is discussed from the point of view of the repetition of trauma in adolescence and its manifestations in the analytic situation.

Annie Birraux : adolescence confronted with society’s prejudices
This co-authored text seeks to examine adolescent functioning in the larger context of family and society. We will make our observation through our work in the « Maison de Solenn », an open adolescent treatment center. Is physiological criteria sufficient to define someone as an adolescent and to distinguish an adolescent from an adult ? Are today’s adolescents more precocious ? Must we consider them as adults based solely on the fact that they are bigger and stronger and cease to take into consideration the infantile part of every adolescent ?
Marion Haza : the « mystical animal ». puberty entrance and psychotherapy*
The instinct peculiar to puberty acts in the therapy, in a brutal, harsh and unsymbolized way. The acting out is generated by the emergence of new instinctual feelings, still not elaborated nor integrated to the Self. The creative ability of the adolescent, carried on by the clinician, enables to sublimate the puberty violence and find a way of clearing other than instinctual or sexual. Here, it is the « Mystical Animal » which will come and symbolize the entrance to puberty and its investments.
